Bridges in Colooshkee

Hi All,

Bridges are engineering touch of art. (Who does not agree with me, may stop reading this post). They represent for me much more than ordinary structure built in order to span physical obstacles. I think one of the reasons why I fell in love with California during my maiden landing on SFO Airport was fact that I saw the King. Yes, it's true! First thing which impressed me when I took a look through the airplane's window from above The City was The King...And his full name is Golden Gate - The King of the Bridges...This masterpiece of structure work is widely considered as one of the most beautiful examples of bridge engineering and I totally agree. Then I realized that on the opposite side of the Bay is located his Silver (much bigger) Brother. I had even this luck to live next to this Giant for a couple of weeks. The name of this bigger brother is Bay Bridge. He was designed by a Polish -born American engineer Ralph Modjeski. However it is not only tale about places and impressive structures built by human here in San Francisco. First of all this is my personal attempt to say this simple story when you realize that unusual things become an element of our usual life...My life as well... These unordinary structures are also important not only because of their communication role in our daily life. They are also good place to meet somebody and sometimes this person is much more important than view underneath your feet....
